Amanda Crowther

Amanda Crowther is a freelance photographer based at her private studio in Honley near Holmfirth. Her portfolio includes a wide variety of images from weddings and events, to performances and private commissions regionally.

Through her professional career Amanda has developed an approach that combines interpersonal skills with a sharp and creative eye for the moment. Amanda’s photography is concerned with people and the relationships between them. Her images celebrate diversity and individuals with sensitivity, humour and an element of the human condition. Her reportage work illustrates a creative eye and talent for capturing the moment.

Amanda began working as a freelance photographer in 1995 following her graduation from Bradford College with a BA (hons) in Photography and Desktop publishing and HND in Visual Communications.

Recent work includes branding and graphic images for the Arts Council initiative the Young Peoples Participatory Theatre Project (YPPT), branding and marketing for Diversity Dance, images for Chol Theatre’s Space Circus and Beat Market, for Annapurna dance Company, coverage of the Beyond the Borders Storytelling Festival at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and much more...
