Arts Council England

"I employed Amanda as a freelance consultant for a National Arts Council England initiative, the Young People's Participatory Theatre programme. As a skilled photographer and marketing expert, Amanda was initially tasked with facilitating the creation of the visual identity and promotional materials for the programme, working with the YPPT Youth Council group. As a result of her excellent management of the process and the high quality materials produced, Amanda was further employed to assist with the design and realisation of the interactive website and the programme's culmination event - an International Theatre Festival 'Get In!' held in Liverpool during the Capital of Culture.   

 

Amanda is highly organised, thorough and constructive in her approach and working methods.  She demonstrates excellent communication skills in partnership working, particularly with individuals and organisations who are initially reticent or less convinced. Amanda proved to be on several occasions a key lynchpin in the effective negotiation between different partners and stakeholders involved in the programme, including working with other hired consultants.  

 

Amanda was also extremely effective when working with the Youth Council in her ability to facilitate a process by which they had a genuine shared ownership of the process and products.
